The inaugural journal from Hoʻolana Publishing featuring 53 Hawaiʻi writers centered around the ʻōlelo noʻeau, I ulu nō ka lālā i ke kumu. The publication includes writers  kuʻualoha hoʻomanawanui, Noʻu Revilla, Gary Pak, Lisa Linn Kanae, Kristiana Kahaukawila, and many others, paired with emerging writers selected by each “kumu.” The collection is dedicated to Kumu Caroline Sinavaina-Gabbard following her tragic passing, and is meant to highlight and elevate the work of contemporary Hawaiʻi writers.
